Case Study :: TGW - THE GOLF WAREHOUSE
TGW is the world’s largest Internet seller of golf equipment, clothing, and paraphernalia. In order to brand the company and give it a unique image, we created and produced a campaign of commercials to run on golf media on ESPN, The Golf Channel, Fox Sports and other golf programming. The spots centered around establishing TGW as the premier place to buy golf products with an inventory second to none.
In one spot a superstore falls from the sky and interrupts a groups attempt to putt. This pays off with the copy line that TGW is “quietly taking over the world of golf”.
In another, golf merchandise flies out of the computer into a family’s den. A third spot shows golf equipment raining from the sky.
The spots were conceived to dramatize the unique selling points of TGW.com and ordering over the internet. Convenience, price, and speed of delivery were the amplified selling points.
The initial results were that TGW had the best selling season they have ever had shortly after the campaign debuted. The high production value special effects added to the perception that TGW is a major player.
