Mike Pithey
Michael's experience includes many of the Sports you see on television today, starting with the 1980 Miracle from Lake Placid, the Winter Olympic Games of Sarajevo where Mike learned Serbo-Croatian, the LA Summer Games, the World Series, Monday Night Football, Monday Night Baseball, gymnastics, figure skating, skiing, boxing and Wide World of Sports. Michael has a long pedigree in golf production which includes many US Opens, PGA Championships, and Ryder Cups.
From 1989 to 1999, Mike was the Vice President and General Manager at Jack Nicklaus Productions, where he was one of 3 production people who were on all 43 of Shell's Wonderful World of Golf shows in the Modern era. Michael has a good relationship with the management of many of the prominent golfers in the game today, as you would expect from someone who worked for "The Golden Bear" for over 10 years.
Mike was also a leader in Jack's line of Computer and Video games that lead the gaming industry in the golf category for years.
Mike continues to produce sporting events for Television as well as help expand the horizons of Golfspots.
